Super Smash Bros (Wii U/3DS) Profile: Marth

This is a page specifically to update anything and everything Marth related in Super Smash Bros 4, from screenshots to official movesets, etc. Some of the content is subject to change depending on what gets updated. Feel free to help out in case I happen to not be around on a certain day (or days) by commenting below. I’ll attempt to update it as soon as I can.

MarthName: Marth

Game Debut: Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi

Smash Debut: Super Smash Bros. Melee (Hidden Character)

Summary of Marth (The Fire Emblem Wiki): Marth, the Hero-King, is a character from the Fire Emblem series of video games. He is the central protagonist and Lord-class character of the original game, Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryou to Hikari no Tsurugi and Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, as well as their respective remakes. Although Marth’s Fire Emblem titles were released only in Japan at the time, he has acquired more widespread international attention through his appearance in the Nintendo brawler, Super Smash Bros. Melee. The appearance of Marth and Roy sparked a greater level of Western interest in the Fire Emblem series, and it was in part because of this that Nintendo began releasing the games internationally beginning with Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken, the seventh title in the series.

    • “You may not rem”

I always remember the people who comment on the blog (since I don’t get that many!), and of course yours stuck out since I made the comment Marth had a chance of not being in the game for reasons. Whoops. (I actually meant to point that out in my initial Marth post, but I got lazy). But if it hasn’t been confirmed before, Marth’s appearance in Smash 4 does make him the face of the franchise.

      • Yeah. Sorry if I came off as obnoxious before. I just kinda get annoyed at people underestimating Marth’s importance to Fire Emblem.

Anyway, Ike’s the one who’s fate is truly up in the air. I hope he returns.
